TESHA BUSS grew up on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Golden, Illinois. After losing the farm, her parents opened a tavern called The Buss Stop, now employee-owned 38 years later. She received her BFA with a dance minor from Illinois Wesleyan University. For 15 years, Tesha was a performer in the Actor’s Equity Union appearing on Broadway in such shows as Cats, and The Rhythm Club. She began choreographing at the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company in 2001. She moved to Plymouth, Vermont in 2008 to establish Good Commons, her retreat home and a small transportation company. Tesha sat on the Board of Directors for the Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, was the treasurer for Okemo Valley TV, and was a 9 year member of the Ludlow Rotary and president for one year. She chaired the board of the Rainbow Playschool leading the purchase and expansion to their Mt Tom location adding 17 infants and toddler spots and created the Community Campus, a Covid learning school turned into an after school program. She is now an advisory member of the Hub in Woodstock. Tesha loves home design and renovation. She still choreographs for Woodstock High school and enjoys making art with her spirited daughter who lives with her in West Woodstock.
